The Do’s and Don’t of interviewing
These are somethings as a Jobseeker and human critic, that I have noticed and irritate me to no end.
I’ll start with the Do’s
-Arrive 10 Minutes before your interview time
-Bring extra copies of your resume
-Look Neat and Professional
-Learn some history about the company
-Make eye contact and speak clearly
-Be Confident and flexible
-Sell Yourself, they maybe inucdated with applicants. Stand out.
-Highlight the experience you have that parallels the job you are interviewing for
-Ask Questions
-Be conscious of your body language “It’s not what you say, but how you say it”
-Thank the interviewer for their time
-Ask for a business card so you can fax, mail or email a thank you note.
DON’T
-USE A RING BACK TONE OR HAVE LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL VOICEMAIL GREETINGS.
-CHEW GUM OR SUCK ON CANDY!!! YUCKY
-USE COMMON VERNACULAR.
-COME IN THE INTERVIEW ON YOUR PHONE OR WHILE WAITING USE YOUR PHONE.
-LEAVE THE CLUB AND GO TO THE INTERVIEW
-FOLD YOUR ARMS
-SLOUCH OR LEAN
-DISCUSS MEDICAL ISSUES, NO ONE CARES IF YOU HAVE GAS
-GIVE ON WORD ANSWERS
-RUSH THROUGH THE DOOR FOR YOUR INTERVIEW, IF YOU ARE LATE FOR THE INTERVIEW YOU’LL BE LATE FOR THE JOB
-ASSUME THEY WON’T CHECK FACEBOOK ETC…
Do you want a real check or pseudo cyber friends?
Oh take all your Clubbing and St. Pattys day pics down, also those bathroom pics need to go to.
Sincerely,
Someone who cares too much!
I should be cleaning…
I just decided to post my Christmas List because….I can
1. Ipad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Tory Burch Reva Flats, the black classic ones with the silver buckle
3. John Hardy Bedeg Bracelet
4. Henri Bendel Sealed with a Kiss Barrell Bag in Black
5. Random Pieces of Clothing
6. Michael Kors watch or a Michelle Watch, but Michael Kors is more reasonable.
7. A new Northface, in a cool color.
In reality, I’ll probably get none of this, but it’s worth the wish.
I added up the prices and tax and it’s almost 2,200 dollars. It’s ridiculous. Help.
>My dad wrote this to my mom, after I was born
I always dreamed of having a queen who would be open enough to trust me in everything, and to share all her hopes and dreams, thoughts and fears.
I dreamed of a woman who strong enough to be gentle and self confident enough to be vulnerable, a woman I could lean and a woman who could lean on me too.
A woman who would love me as much as I love her and our family.
All my Love,
David
May you rest in Peace Daddy
